Launching our "Global Hub for Youth and Water'' in Montreal

It’s with much excitement that we officially launched – in collaboration with Montreal International - our new Global hub #WaterGeneration to mobilise youth towards water issues.

Member of Canadian Parliament Peter Schiefke, MRIF Deputy Minister Hélène Drainville, Montreal International Director Hubert Bolduc, IJC Commissioner Henry Lickers as well as City representative Suzie Miron participated to the inauguration hosted at Maison du développement durable, which followed two-full days of workshops where young leaders from Québec, Mohawk Council of Akwesasne and abroad were invited to present innovative solutions to water-related challenges.

European Youth Parliament for Water in Russia

Last November, we were in Nizhny Novgorod in Russia, where we gathered together 85 young people from 20 countries for the 15th session of the European Youth Parliament for Water. Held over a week, the Parliament is always an inspiring occasion to foster new ideas and to mobilize youth on the water-related issues. This session focused on the theme ‘’River Basin: Backbone of Regional Development’’, highlighting opportunities for reflection and concrete solutions for better cooperation between basin actors while emphasizing the role of youth in these solutions.

She feels a strong sense of responsibility to represent the voices and dreams of her fellow delegates. She believes her role to be help the young water leaders  to pursue the projects they proposed at the EYPW by reinforcing their capacity and using this great network of youth mobilized by water at European scale and beyond.

COP25 Water & Climate - Time to take action!

Our team at COP25 - Madrid had the opportunity to present our different solutions related to hydrological resilience and citizen-led adaptation in uncertain scenarios in Latin America, Central Asia, West Africa and Eastern Europe. Dynamic exchanges have led to the recognition that adaptation to climate change through community-based water management - including youth - gives more sustainable results.
