N-API: Next generation APIs for Node.js native addons available across all LTS release lines

Previously only available as an experimental feature, N-API is now a stable and fully supported feature of Node.js as of version 10. It is also available as an experimental feature in Node.js 8 and 6.

New V8 Release Boosts Performance 

In this post, Thorston Lorenz at NodeSource breaks down how the enhancements in V8 v6.8, like TurboFan and improved startup time, result in major performance gains. The author also highlights things developers should keep in mind to make sure their JavaScript takes full advantage of the all the new V8 goodness.
