Meet the Editor 
 




 
Quionne Flythe is set to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations, this Fall. She was recently accepted into American University's Masters of Teaching: Secondary Education program, where she will begin studying in the Fall of 2018. During this time she will continue to work as an Interim Teacher and tutor with Prince George's County Public Schools while also working as a part-time Communications Consultant for a number of local businesses and organizations.

 
 
 
 
Bowie State's Public Relations Student Society of America's 4th Annual Networking Event



During the fall 2017 semester, members of the APR Group (Troy Spencer, Alexis Pannell, Gabrielle Grant, and Brandon Britton) worked very closely with the Public Relations Student Society of America's Bowie State chapter in executing their 4th Annual Networking Event.  The event, organized to allow students an opportunity to connect with professionals in the PR industry, was held Thursday, November 16.  Students had their resumes reviewed, and received invaluable information to help them prepare for their careers.

Councilmember Todd Turner Presents:

Stay Sharp on Social Media Seminar 2017
 Team members Gloria Nkanka, Quionne Flythe, Stephanie Jaigobin, and Andrea King worked directly with District 4's Council member Todd Turner's administrative team and partnering organizations to organize and promote their 2nd Annual Stay Sharp on Social Media Seminar. The team's work consisted of developing a Public Relations Plan, identifying talent and guest speakers, recommending giveaways. The event was held at Bowie State University's Student Center featuring WKYS Angie Ang and DJ Freeez, who are pictured below with Prince George's County Council member Turner and event entertainer, Lil' Key. Guest speakers included author CJ Blair, Rebecca Kisson, and PGCPS CEO, Dr. Kevin Maxwell.  BSU President Dr. Aminta Breaux, College of Arts & Science Dean, Dr. George Acquaah and SGA President Phylecia Faublas provided greetings.
