Central Jersey Safe Energy Coalition ( is a citizen organization opposed to the Williams Transco’s Northeast Supply Expansion (NESE) project in general and building of Compressor Station 206 in particular. was founded by residents of communities within the New Jersey Counties of Middlesex and Somerset who live in close proximity to the proposed Compressor Station 206.  works with local, county, state and federal officials to address the NESE project that potentially has a massive negative impact on New Jersey, but no benefit since the gas is being transported to New York.  We partner with various religious institutions, community organizations and other non-governmental agencies to address the concerns of clean water and air, health, safety, the increased use of fossil fuels and the overall protection of our environment.  Our members include business professionals, engineers and scientists, but most importantly men and women concerned about their communities and parents concerned about their children.

ReThink Energy NJ Annual Survey

In a press conference last week at the State Capital, ReThink Energy NJ and Fairleigh Dickinson presented the 2016 survey that they conducted of NJ residents' attitudes towards Clean Energy.
This study,  clearly indicates that a majority of NJ residents support a major shift to renewable energy.

The press conference was attended by Senator Bateman, representatives from  and other government officials and members of the press.

As an example of what can be done, the California state government has mandated that utilities within their state get 50% of their power from renewable sources (including solar and wind-generated energy) by 2030. Governor Cuomo of New York has issued a similar mandate to his agencies.
Let's work together to make this a reality in New Jersey!
