Good evening Grow The Richmond-ites!

This is it, there's only 25 days until the November 6th election and voters are already receiving and filling out their ballots.

Now is the time to get involved in making sure that this November we elect a pro-housing, pro-transit, and pro-progress slate of candidates and ballot initiatives to ensure that San Francisco and California continue to make progress on our housing shortage and direly needed transit investments.

There are plenty of volunteer opportunities between now and election day. Grow The Richmond volunteers have been coming to election related events around the clock, and now it's time for us all to step it up a notch and leave it all on the field!

Here's some of the key campaigns you can get involved in:

  1. Volunteer for Trevor McNeil - Candidate for Supervisor in District 4

  2. Volunteer for Sonja Trauss - Candidate for Supervisor in District 6 (and co-founder of the YIMBY movement writ-large!)

  3. Volunteer for Michelle Parker - Candidate for Board of Education

  4. Volunteer for Janice Li - Candidate for BART Board in District 8

  5. Volunteer for Yes on C, and No on 6 - Campaigns to increase the investment in permanent supportive housing for the homeless, and prevent the defunding of hundreds of transit & road repair projects respectively
Additionally, please share the entire YIMBY Action endorsements page far and wide with your friends and family!

If you have questions or you don't know how best to get involved this campaign season to help elect pro-housing candidates, send an email to hello@growtherichmond.com and we'll route you to where folks are most needed.
Don't have time to show up to an event in person?

No problem. Use this nifty tool called Votercircle to find folks in your email contacts that are registered voters in San Francisco, and email them reminding them to vote the YIMBY / pro-housing slate in this election

Editors note: Several folks already know about this news, but two of our volunteers, friends, and neighbors, Claire and Peter have allowed me to disclose this on the GtR newsletter:

Alayne Fedewa, Claire and Peter's daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia the evening of May 14th.

Read Alayne's story on their GoFundMe page and if you're able to, please consider giving to them as well:
