We are excited to announce this year that Michael's foundation will be partnering with the Bloomington-Normal Area FCA for the annual MCstrong Golf Outing. This was an important ministry to Michael so we are looking forward to another great event honoring his legacy while giving God the glory!

Third annual 5K run/walk makes new strides

The 3rd Annual MCstrong 5K run/walk was held on April 22, 2017 with support from our sponsors and this great community. Nearly 500 individuals joined together to strike out drunk driving by walking, running, virtual running, or walking their dog. For the second year in a row, the MCstrong Award was given to a law enforcement officer from each local department. The 2017 MCstrong Award recipients were: Officer John Fermon (Bloomington), Sergeant Tammy Peasley (Illinois State University), Deputy Lonni Kirby and Deputy Dakotah Metzke (McLean County), and Officer Tyler Vanwynsberg (Normal). Brian Scottberg captured all of the excitement from walkers, runners, our four legged participants, and the many volunteers. Photos can be viewed and downloaded here. How did you finish? Final race results may be viewed here.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Illinois received a generous donation of $5,000 at the 2017 5K. Thank you Sam Canzoneri and MADD Illinois for your work to end drunk driving.

Jim and Kelly Collins honored by donation community

On Thursday, May 4, the parents of Michael Collins and Casey Kohlmeier were recognized for their sons' generous gifts of life through organ, tissue, and eye donations. The foundation also made a $2,000 donation to Eversight Illinois which will help cover the cost of a cornea transplant, providing the gift of sight. Hosted by Eversight Illinois, money raised at this event went to support the Eversight Illinois Dr. John E. Randolph Memorial Charitable Services Fund and the event raffle will support the Noah C. Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund. Eversight Illinois, an affiliate of Eversight, is a charitable, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and restoration of sight. For more information, visit Eversight Illinois online at www.eversightvision.org/illinois.
Jim Collins shares Uncommon Hope with Greenbay Packers

Thank you to the Green Bay Packers and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for allowing Jim the opportunity to share Michael's story along with Uncommon Hope. It's very fitting that the restaurant in Lambeau Field is named "1919" Kitchen and Tap!
More signs, more love, more Jesus!
