Learn and Serve Day
at our Native Plant Education Garden (NPEG)
Wednesday, May 29 • 10 am-noon
920 Cherry Street, Grand Rapids
In front of the Inner City Christian Federation (ICCF) building.
Park in the large lot on the east side of ICCF.
During this Learn and Serve session, we will talk about handy tools to make our gardening easier and more comfortable. If you have a favorite tool, bring it along and share with us why you love it!
Our efforts in the garden will be to continue to remove and/or transplant any species that may be left. Be sure to bring containers.
We will also begin placing some of the plant ID markers, doing some edging (bring a sharp shovel for this) and adding a few plugs. We may also discuss what plant species we would like to see in the garden’s open spots. If anyone has a Virginia Bluebell plant to donate to the garden, that would be appreciated!
What to bring if you have them: your favorite tool, gloves, shovel, a container for weeds/plants, and a water bottle.
Remember to dress for the weather and wear sunscreen.
