South Bank UTC Joins Partner School University Academy of Engineering On the TalentEd Programme

TalentEd are delighted to now be working with both schools in the South Bank Mutli Academy Trust following the recent sign up of South Bank Engineering UTC.

Four bright year 10 students will be starting in the Summer term and continuing through to year 11 in the Autumn working on a Study Skills, Confidence and Aspirations programme to boost their confidence and abilities just in time for exams!

South Bank Engineering UTC is a teaching college, sponsored by London South Bank University and is TalentEd's first school in the local education authority of Lambeth. We look forward to becoming part of their strategy to improve their Ofsted score from Requires improvement with 9.3% of students being on free school meals.

Anyone interested in tutoring in Southwark or Lambeth should send us an email with your availability and which school you would be interested in or see the full list of tutoring opportunities here! New tutors can apply HERE
Our Southwark and Lambeth schools are supported by Children in Need, whose three year grant has thus far allowed TalentEd to help 60 students in the area. Their generous funding will help support resources, wages for tutors and the general running of the two programmes, along with the planned expansion into further Southwark schools.

Graduation at Hassenbrook Academy!

Year ten students Billy, Conal, Callum and Myles (pictured above with their tutor, Denise Sparrow, Link Teacher Ben Williamson and School Relations Manager Jessica Hall) graduated the TalentEd programme in March with the help of their fantastic tutor Denise, who all the boys spoke highly of in their endpoint surveys. This brings TalentEd's total number of graduated students up to 1,176 bright students.

Denise commented on how highly able all the boys were, saying their ability to analyse was as advanced as some of the studentes she teaches on her undergraduate course!

Programmes will be running in the summer term at Hassenbrook Academy on Mondays and Tuesdays. To find out more  send us an email!

Your Feedback Leads to TalentEd's Largest Digital Overhaul

(Pictured: Tutor Mike Webbe leads a session on our digital procedures with Marketing Assistant, Chloe Cooper and CEO, Matthew Roberts)

Following feedback from a number of tutors on the effectiveness of the session reporting system, including valuable sessions, such as those conducted with Mike Webbe, we have undertaken a project to integrate our session reporting, allowing our tutors to track their students engagement throughout the programme effectively. This work is part of a larger project to digitalise many of our processes such as collection of student feedback and parent consent and has been made possible by the generous support of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists.

Read more on our session reporting project, and how tutor feedback has shaped one of the largest projects TalentEd has undertaken digitally to date!

With the support of our tutors who will be engaging in some behind the scenes testing, we aim to have this project completed prior to the launch of our new programmes. To find out more, please email
