Meet our New MRCF Board Members |
Melchee Johnson "I am pleased to serve as a member of the MRCF board because I believe in the organization’s strong mission to impact education. By providing backpacks and scholarship support, MRCF is able to carry out Krissy’s vision and legacy of making sure those who have need get assistance. I look forward to helping spread awareness of the Foundation’s efforts so other community enthusiasts can join us in making a difference in the lives of our youth!" Randy Smith "Hi! I am Randy Smith, the Associate Executive Director at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA. I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Krissy for many years at the Y. I joined the MRCF’s board because I would like to help spread Krissy’s vision of providing school supplies to our youth in underserved families. The MRCF’s Backpack Program is currently connected to the four YMCA academic focused programs located in Orange County. I hope to help spread the Backpack Program into the Durham and Wake County YMCA academic programs in the years to come!" Durell Petway "It is a complete privilege to join a board that is hands on and has the vision to support the youth of North Carolina. It's an honor to have the chance to work to my full capacity while providing innovative ideas. The organization has a mission that motivates me personally. I look forward to joining the team!" |

Your employer may encourage you to donate to local charities by matching your gift donation. Companies usually match donations at a 1:1 ratio, but some will match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio. Examples of companies making a difference are TRUIST Bank, Ernst Young, Gap Corporation, BP, Exxon Mobil, Phizer, Avon and Choice Hotels. Visit this link to see if your company is listed: https://page.org/site/list-of-companies-with-matching-gift-programs.
