High School Years

Throughout her high school career at East Chapel Hill High School, Krissy was mindful of her academics while enjoying year round sports. She was the co-captain on the Varsity Basketball team wearing jersey #5 which was recently retired in February 2022 as the only high school jersey number retired in North Carolina. She also ran track and majored in field events holding the shot put record at East Chapel Hill High School. She started her career at the Chapel Hill Carrboro YMCA in the 10th grade working there for 5 years. She was a part of the AVID College Prep class, national honor society, and graduated in 2016.

College

While attending East Carolina University, Krissy worked hard to obtain and maintain her GPA. She graduated in 2020 with her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She also was attending NCCU to achieve her LCSW. She created many friendships that would last her a lifetime. During her time at ECU, she started PreMadonnas Dance Troupe, was Secretary for Diamonds Modeling, and played in the women's club basketball league. She became an entrepreneur during her sophomore year creating RichSets Nails. Krissy was self-taught and believed everyone could create their own business model and make their dreams a reality. Entrepreneur Life

Krissy was a go-getter, to say the least. She found things she enjoyed and was able to become profitable from those things. She loved feeling beautiful and making other women feel that way as well! She created “Rich Sets” to do just that. Her nail business “Rich Sets” flourished and she did exactly what she set out to do. She taught others how to develop their nail business by offering classes and entrepreneurial training. Several nail business owners became entrepreneurs on the heels of Krissy’s love for success and people. She also became a model creating PreMadonna Dance Troupe and working with Diamonds Modeling. Modeling makeup, wigs, clothes, party promotions, etc. as part of her “Rich Sets” brand. She was beautiful inside and out and let the world know it. Our 5K has a silent auction and raffle this year! Raffle Tickets are $20.You must be on site to win! You can win items such as a two-night stay at the Rizzo Center in Chapel Hill, Hilton Garden Inn in Wilmington, NC, or Unscripted in Durham, and other prizes like gift certificates to Sofia’s Jewelry or Hand and Stone Massage and Facial Spa!

You could also bid on luxury prizes in our silent auction such as a signed UNC Chapel Hill basketball, custom UNC Chapel Hill Jordans, and a 3-night, 4-day stay at an Airbnb on Mayo Lake!
