A Star In My Crown
I had been taught, “Share a book and save a soul.” A very true and practical statement. Like a sower in the field, if we can sow the seed of the Word of God, we can reap a great harvest of souls.
I got into the transportation business and had a wide range of clients. People from all walks of life—politicians, businesspeople, IT specialists, police officers, media staff, etc. One individual, a Jew, who also claimed to be from the lineage of Aaron and carried it in his name, developed a bond with me. His ideas were very orthodox, especially about the Sabbath. This was a common ground between us.
Aaron was into real-estate, catering for land needs for businesspeople in Mumbai, Pune, and Goa. Consequently he had a great influence on these clients.
In January 2020 I bumped into him at a mutual friend’s daughter’s wedding. He held my arms firmly and pulled me to one side of the room, away from the noisy crowd.  Looking at me intently, he said, “I read the books you gave me, all of them, and I am convinced Jesus is my personal Savior!”
He shared that his family had been going through a rough patch in life a few months back, and he had been driven by the Spirit to read the books. “Now,” he said, “I have found peace! Everything is fine, and I thank you so much!”
Tears welled up in my eyes, and my heart was overjoyed. The Lord had touched his life through those books.
Four months later, in May 2020, I got a call from a friend who told me that Aaron had passed away from a massive heart attack. I was speechless, and deeply saddened. But I was comforted that he had surrendered his life and accepted Jesus as his personal Savior.
A book can change and certainly save a life. I’m sure I will have a star in my crown.
