So Status Updates Do Work!

I had never used the status update in WhatsApp, considering it a waste of time. But a week ago, while looking through my messages on WhatsApp, an idea suddenly came to mind, “If I post pictures in my WhatsApp status, I wonder who and how many people will open and look through them?” For some reason, I became curious and decided to try.

I recently found high-quality pictures on the Internet with good thoughts about God.
I posted several of these pictures in my status and added another with a book advertisement. To my surprise, within a few hours, my WhatsApp status had been viewed by about 60 people: 30 students, six former students, 15 teachers (including the administration of our college), two newspaper subscribers, and various others—neighbors, older people at home, and the director of the organization where I worked last year.

The next day I received a message from one of the teachers, who asked, "How can I get this book?" The very next day, I delivered and completed her order. One individual’s desire to read The Great Controversy gave me great joy.

I had often wondered how I could reach students and teachers with whom I was not in close communication. Now, all 60 of them consistently look at my status, where I post a picture and preach to them, hoping that some words will touch their hearts and get them thinking about issues of eternity and their relationship with God.

Social media status can also help to preach the gospel and distribute our books, especially if you have a large social circle and wonder how to share God's message.
