One of the best bits about living in the Netherlands is that spring means COLOR! There are flowers everywhere and even in the rain it is such a cheerful sight. They remind us of all the colorful books on our shelves - it's always spring in our stores! We hope you can find a literary bloom to cheer you up this month, and between some great new releases, Brexit and Dutch Comic Con, one of our favorite in-the-wild events, we think there's plenty to choose from.
Happy reading!
- The ABC Mailings team
Will they or won't they? March means Brexit. Or Brexit-delay. Or Brexit re-vote?
If you are as confused as most of us about what the Brits are doing this month, never fear: we have plenty of reading to help you gain a sense of perspective. Have a look at our Brexit recommendations, which range from quite silly to rather serious.
Many thanks to the lovely Anna Newton for the wonderful book presentation she had with us in February! We have a few signed copies of An Edited Life left in both our stores, in case you couldn't make it to the event itself.
Also, many thanks to Boom Chicago Amsterdam, who helped us out when overwhelming demand meant we needed to find a (much) bigger space at short notice. More info about an amazing promotion with them can be found below!
Our February bestsellers include Marie Kondo's cleaning manifesto, Rutger Bregman's 2017 book, Sally Rooney's Normal People that seems to keep gathering steam rather than lose it, some new fantasy by Leigh Bardugo and Marlon James, and a true doorstopper by Soshanna Zuboff.
Please note that ABC Favorites are not included.
Speaking of ABC Favorites, however: we've added a host of new ones! Trevor Noah, Marjane Satrapi, Alan Watts and one Harry Potter, to name a few.  See the full list of ABC Favorites here.
Did you know... that all our booksellers are also stock buyers for the various sections in the store? We have 30+ experts on the floor who will gladly advise you on what book is the right one for you! Online you can check out our ABC Highlights for handpicked recommendations.
Come visit our stand at Dutch Comic Con 2019! Authors Mike Carey (The Girl With All the Gifts), Aimee de Jongh (The Return of the Honey Buzzard) and Loish (The Art of Loish) will be signing at our stand and part of the Con's Cozy Corner programming.

Check out or sign up for our Events mailing if you want to be kept informed of future ABC happenings. We also post our upcoming events (and a lot of other informative literary content) on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
