Drought support
Proud to welcome Prime Minister Scott Morrison to Dalby.
We’re committing another $100 million on top of the $7 Billion to the drought. $3000 payments for farming families to pay household expenses and streamlining the FHA.
On-Farm Emergency Water rebates
We’re extending the Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebates to permanent horticultural plantings. We’ll pay 25% for de-silting dams, digging bores and improving on farm water infrastructure for drought affected farmers.
Future Drought Fund Consultative Committee established
A panel of 8  headed by Brent Finlay will form the Future Drought Fund Consultative Committee - seeking input directly from drought-vulnerable communities. These consultations will help the panel determine what scope of projects will be supported by the $5 billion fund.

$80,000 for Rural Financial Counselling Service - Southern Queensland
$80,000 will bolster services at the RFCS for Southern Queensland - bringing certainty to service delivery for our Maranoa farmers to develop action plans in tough times like these, negotiate with lenders and apply for Farm Household Allowance. That's on top of $9.74m invested in RFCS Southern Queensland since 2016.
2 NDIS grants open
$62 million in funding is available through 2 NDIS grants. Finding meaningful employment, getting involved with local community groups and improving health service accessibility are the top goals of these new grants.
