Find the right yoga style

So you bought the  Introduction Card, great choice! Our suggestion is to use this introduction card to explore the different styles of yoga that are offered at Delight Yoga. Especially because we know how hard it can be to find the right style that suits your needs. 

At Delight Yoga, we offer four main styles of yoga: Astanga, Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin. On the schedule, you will also find styles that are derived from these main styles or that are a combination of styles like Yin Yang, Restorative, Prenatal or Yoga Nidra. Here is a quick introduction to our main styles to explain a bit more about them.

Astanga


In short:
An Astanga Led class follows a fixed sequence of challenging poses, with a strong focus on the breath coordinated to movement.

Great for:
Strength, Flexibility, Focus, Breath

Vinyasa


In short:
A Vinyasa Yoga class consists of a variety of dynamic movements and poses guided by the teacher in a flow, to strengthen both body and mind.

Great for:
Strength, Flexibility, Focus, Breath

Hatha


In short:
A Hatha Yoga class enhances physical strength and flexibility as well as increasing the concentration level of the mind.

Great for:
Strength, Focus, Flexibility

Yin


In short:
A Yin Yoga class is slow but energizing, postures are held passively for 3-5 minutes while the muscles are relaxed.

Great for:
Relaxation, Flexibility, Vitality, Mindfulness
