"The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted." Psalm 18:46
Greetings to you from Petra!
Dear <<First Name>>,
We are so blessed to see God's hand in each of your lives and the power of His Spirit each time we gather as a fellowship. We have a tremendous time in His Word each Tuesday evening and Sunday morning.
This week, Petra has the wonderful opportunity to serve our Lord alongside The Father's Heart Ministry right here at our corner. Please consider coming to share the love of God with those appointed for salvation walking or driving by 72 Thurston Ave. The next day, The Father's Heart Ministry is holding their annual fundraising event; another opportunity to share the love of God with the crafters and shoppers alike.
Our prayer for you is that Christ's prayer at Gethsemane for His Father's will above his own would inspire your prayer life of surrender and love. You may not be heading for a rugged cross but you are sure to face daily opportunities to follow the Saviour's example of submission.
God bless you richly in His precious love.
Hope you have a great day with Jesus!

From Pastor Jeff
Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. [Matthew 26:31]
All the wordly hopes and dreams of the disciples was about to be put to the test. The night started with a meal and a evening stroll during which the disciples contemplated their future roles in Christ's kingdom. But in a very short period of time they would be fleeing for their lives, crashing through the thickets as they would abandon Jesus to his fate. Their faith was to be greatly tested.
All this against the even darker backdrop of everything Jesus must be experiencing: the knowledge that he would be betrayed and separated from His friends; that the powers of the Wicked One were stoking the flames of His enemies; that He would suffer justice and judgement on the cross for the sake of the whole world as His Father who loved Him from the beginning accomplished His Will.
And How did Jesus handle it? He prayed. Then He prayed again...and again. He took three faithful friends with which he could confide that he was, "...exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death..." [Matthew 26:38] and He asked them to pray with Him, and for themselves.
If prayer was good enough for Jesus to be ready to handle His Agony, it is more than good enough for us to be ready to face anything the world has in store for us today.
May this week's message challenge and encourage you to seek the face of our Father in Heaven. Enter your prayer closet and become aware of His Will, and be empowered to obey and trust Him for the trials that are sure to come our way!
I'm trusting that God will bless and strengthen you today as you fellowship with Him in prayer.
