From Pastor Jeff
Peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
It is a blessing to share with you this past weeks messages from Petra.
Sunday’s teaching from Matthew 26 verses 26 through 31 sheds more more light on the fullness of Christ’s suffering for you and me. As He is scourged and then abused by upwards of 200 roman soldiers, we learn that He is adorned with the royal garb of persecution: His bloodied raiment is more precious than any scarlet robe man can conjure up to honor a worldly king. Jesus is truly worth to be praised!
From Tuesday’s message on the song of Deborah and Barak in Judges Chapter 6 we remember the mighty works of God in their song (I’m not sure what the melody was!), and continue to learn of the danger of failing to pass along to subsequent generations the knowledge of God and the testimony of His marvelous works: it leads to bondage and enslavement that can only be restored in relationship to God through Jesus Christ.
We hope you will find God’s Word a blessing to your life and look forward to seeing you again soon.
