"The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted." Psalm 18:46
Greetings to you from Petra!
Dear <<First Name>>,
The holidays are drawing near and we hope you are excited about spending time with family and friends. Maybe just some quiet time away from all the regular rushing around.
A pastor friend would always encourage us to not leave the LORD behind when we went on vacation, so, we would bring our Bibles with us wherever we went and look for opportunities to minister to those around us whether it be in word or in deed. Even more so when it comes to the upcoming Thanksgiving Celebrations! A chance to count our blessings and give thanks to the One from whom all blessings flow!
There is one special opportunity coming up here at Petra that we want to be sure you mark on your calendar. On Friday, December 9th, from 5 PM to 8 PM, we will host a photographer to take portraits of you, with a friend or your family that you can keep for yourself or share for the holidays. Petra is covering the sitting fees as a blessing to you. You will recieve one print and a CD of all the photos for free. You can purchase prints from the photographer or print them yourself from the CD. Please sign up for a sitting time on the sign up sheet in our foyer.
We hope to see you soon and if not, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Hope you have a great day with Jesus!

From Pastor Jeff
"One of you shall betray me." [Matthew 26:21]
It was the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the night before the Passover, the last supper with Jesus and His disciples. After celebrating the Seder feast, during which the story of the redemption of Israel out of Egypt was retold, with the impending crucificiton no doubt well upon His mind, Jesus further had to address one additional difficulty: the betrayal by one he considered a friend.
Christianity is a battle of the body, soul (mind) and spirit and Jesus was no stranger to it. Imagine knowing one's time was very limited and that a relationship with a friend was going to be tested. He was, "...in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." [Hebrews 4:15].
Are you being tested in a way that seems unbearable? Do you feel as though you have been betrayed? Jesus understands and he cares. Pour it all out to Him in prayer and cry out for Him to help. Open His Word and let it seep into your soul. I know The Comforter is ready and waiting to aid.
This is what we talked about this past Sunday at Petra. Maybe ithe message will minister to you. Click on the "PCF Audio Library" button below to listen as we study through the last supper with Jesus in Matthew Chapter 26, verses 17 through 29.
Hope to see you soon at Petra Christian Fellowship!
