Dear Friends and Colleagues,


As we close on the second day of ESOC 2022, we reflect on the many scientific sessions, teaching courses, poster presentations, and friendly faces we experienced today, all contributing to building ESOC 2022 as the forum to drive and build momentum for advancing the knowledge to improve stroke care.

The programme was viewed in 89 countries from our hybrid community. One of our highlights was the Presidential Symposium and the ESO Awards. Congratulations to all winners.

We are happy to share with you our highlights and pictures of this extraordinary day and look forward to tomorrow!

`Brain-age` biomarkets predict stroke recover more accuratelythan chronological age, new study shows
Stroke experts have identified how radiomics, an emerging image-quantifying technology, can be used to extract biomarkers from clinical brain MRI scans in stroke patients and estimate a patient’s relative ‘brain age’. The technique demonstrates that using relative brain age, rather than chronological age, can enhance stroke surveillance and improve predictions on post-stroke reovery.
