Hello
My name is Robert Preinesberger and I am your new Skagit Valley Beekeepers, news letter editor. I am looking forward to spreading the word about what we have going on in our club. We have a number of accomplished beekeepers and it is my goal to glean timely information from you, so that we all can benefit and become better bee keepers. If anyone has suggestions or comments, please let me know.

Things to do this Month
- If your hives are in a bad spot, now is the time to move them. Try to find a place that will get sun in the winter and that has a wind break. Make sure to ventilate your hives to prevent condensation...moisture kills.
- Treat for mites. The club has two vaporizers for use with oxalic acid, contact Diane Dong and she can set you up.

The SVBA Honey Report
Its time to collect data for the 3rd annual SVBA honey report. Please let us know how many pounds of honey you've collected, from how many hives. No names will be published, unless you would like it to be. It will be fun for us to see how we are doing and how the years match up. Thank you for participating!

- Keep Feeding. The weather looks like it will be conducive for feeding this month. Feed until your bees stop feeding, then remove whatever feed is left. Do not leave syrup in hive once they stop feeding.
- Use entrance reducers and mouse guards to keep out unwanted pests.
