We had a very successful first Chapel Chat last weekend and I am grateful and excited for everyone's input.  As always, I am looking forward to our time together!

This multi-faith Ecumenical Service is a wonderful opportunity to gather with community members over light refreshments.  Casual attire.
Sunday, October 7th, 2018, Service 3 to 4 pm, fellowship reception immediately following the service.  Location: Grass area in front of 8258 Janes Avenue, Woodridge.

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!
And we want to let you know the BOOM COMMITTEE is planning a HOMEMADE CHRISTMAS COOKIE SALE! To help in our planning, we would like to hear from you.  What are some of your favorite Christmas cookies?  Jot down some of your favorites on the poster in the Narthex.  (Watch for future updates.)

NOVEMBER LADIES LUNCH
The November Ladies Lunch will be held on Tuesday, November 6th at Noon.  Save the date!  Details to follow shortly.

 
ADOPT-A-SPOT -  HELP WANTED! 
This program is for P.O.P. members, families, friends or teams who “Adopt a Spot” and take active responsibility for maintaining that particular Spot (flowerbed, shrubs, area) of the Church grounds. Currently there are several Spots available for "adoption". If you are interested please write your name on one or more blank lines on the large poster in the Narthex.  I will then contact you to give you more  information. Or you can contact me at juddex59@yahoo.com, (630) 964-3611, or see me at church for any questions you might have.

We are looking for someone to manage our website.  If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please contact the Office.  Thank you!

CAN YOU HELP?
An employee from Cedar Hurst Assisted Living would like to know if there might be someone willing to pick up one of their residents and her caregiver on Sundays to attend our Services. Thanks to those who have already stepped forward to offer their help!  Please call or email Maureen if you can help.

A prayer for healing for Doreen, Stef’s sister, and for a quick recovery from a recent fall.
