Quite a few events took place this month of which our favourite was the ESA BIC CH Community Building peer exchange event, followed by a summer party. Traditionally this event was held in winter but with corona interfering on this the past couple of times we now decided to shift this to summer to be on the safe side. And what a great event it was! The exchange between the start-ups, based on different topics that they told us were relevant for them, took place at the ESA BIC CH office. For the summer party following the exchange session we went to a beer garden closeby and some alumni joined as well, which we particularly welcomed. So a convivial summer evening was spent together and we do intend to repeat this in future.
Another highlight this month was the onboarding of our new team member Christof Bötschi, who will replace Cyril as start-up manager. Very warm welcome to Christof! :-)
Beginning of June the ESA BIC CH team plus our start-ups XRnanotech, CompPair and Miraex went to the Aviation and Space Symposium in St Gallen, which was very well organized by the Swiss Aerospace Cluster (SAC).
Meanwhile Nanja presented ESA BIC CH at the University of Geneva at an "Astronomical Innovation" event and came back with a lot of new contacts and good input.
A very successful ESA BIC CH Info Event took place on the 30th of June with a record number of participants and our start-up XRnanotech talking about their experience as being an incubatee in the program.
