Newsletter
The 10th cohort of ESA BIC Switzerland has officially joined the incubator on May 10th. The 5 new start-ups Coactum, Lightly, MinWave, SoHHytec and V-Labs are ready to push gravity. Read more about them below and of course in future newsletters.
Quite a few review meetings took place and we can congratulate Lumiphase, CondenZero, Inergio, RigiTech, XRNanotech and NematX for successfully having passed their midterm reviews and thereby having entered the second phase of the program. Meanwhile Cysec Systems, EH Group and Neural Concept equally successfully mastered their final review meetings and became alumni of ESA BIC CH!
If you would like to learn more about ESA BIC CH and how to become an incubatee we have good news for you: there will be an ESA BIC CH Info Event taking place on June 30th at 10.30h. The event will be held virtually, so that everyone around Switzerland can join. See above for details and how to register. We very much look forward to seeing you there!
Further on the event side we warmly recommend you to attend the Swiss Startup Days happening in Bern on June 23rd, in person! For more information see here.

ESA BIC CH new cohort number 10!
The 10th cohort of start-ups, which was selected during the jury session in March has officially joined the program on May 10th. These are the new start-ups you will hear about in the next editions of our newsletter and of course during our annual Demo Day:
Coactum provides simple, secure and fast services of in-space transportation with standalone small satellites - opening the access to high earth orbits and beyond.
Lightly’s machine learning-based software curates large amounts of geospatial data for earth observation.
MinWave provides 10 times smaller and lighter microwave devices for satellite communication systems through patented technology for subwavelength engineering.
SoHHytec offer versatile, flexible and cost-effective solar fuel production systems, using space solar cells for terrestrial and space applications.
V-Labs fuses GNSS/RTK-technology and AR-glasses allowing users to visualize, modify and measure geospatial data in the field with centimeter accuracy.

ESA BIC CH start-up: NematX
On-earth and in-orbit 3D printing of novel high-performance polymer space components.
The “Nematic 3D Printing” technology allows for the production of high-performance end-use parts which outperform current benchmarks in polymer 3D printing.
Target industries of NematX include aerospace & space, medical, electronics and industrial applications where parts are exposed to harsh environmental conditions.
NematX recently restarted a test campaign at ESA's R&D center, ESTEC, for ground-based space compliance testing of their materials and realized a first use case in the semiconductor industry.
Learn more about NematX on their website.
