God's vision for Croydon is that every person here encounters the love of Jesus by all the church proclaiming and demonstrating the Kingdom all through the week.

To try to practice this kind of lifestyle, some of our small groups have gone out on the streets together to show the kindness and love of Jesus to those they meet. We've delivered cakes to neighbours, invited friends to play games, given cups of hot chocolate at Street Cafe, delivered doughnuts to delivery drivers, and given out cards of encouragement to shoppers in the high street among other things. All of these acts of kindness have led to conversations about Jesus and opportunities to pray for people, many of whom may not of otherwise heard the good news.

We know every effort by every one of us to love our town is beautiful in the eyes of God. As Isaiah says "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!" (Isaiah 52:7).

It is our prayer that as a result of our combined work and witness in Croydon, we might see the culture of our town infused with the presence of God.

We want to cheer you on and encourage you as you play your part in this adventure. If you have any stories of how you have seen Jesus using you all through the week we would love to hear them; please drop us a line at hello@croydonvineyard.org.uk .

Much love,

Phil & Caroline Greaves
