PHYSIOTHERAPIST POSITION WITH CRICKET

The WA Cricket Association is seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to deliver a best-practice physiotherapy program for the WACA female pathway programs.

The opportunity has a key focus on state and WBBL contracted female athletes, and is open to suitably qualified applicants until 10 April 2019.

NATIONALS TO HIT THE WATER AT BURSWOOD

The Show Ski National Championships are set to take place on the Swan River at Burswood on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th April, with competitors visiting from around Australia.

Show Skiing requires each competing club to complete a one hour theatrical performance on water skis , with jusdges scoring each performance on originality, presentation and execution.  Spectators are welcome to visit 1 Camfield Drive in Burswood to take in the action from 8am on each day of competition.

WANL FIXTURES RELEASED

The fixtures for the re-vamped WA Netball League have been released in a landmark season that sees seven new clubs facing off for premiership glory.

The regular season gets under way from 31 May, and builds up to the Grand Final on Friday 20 September at the State Netball Centre.

COLLABORATION COMMITMENT

Community Sport Australia (CSA) and Sport Australia have committed to greater national and state collaboration to advocate for sport and build capability across the sporting industry.

CSA and Sport Australia aim to have improved information and evidence sharing, agreeing it will benefit the sporting industry by creating greater alignment across all levels of sport.

MORE OPTIONS FOR EASTERN SUBURBS & HILLS CYCLISTS

The WA Government has committed more than $3.6 million to cycling paths and roads in Forrestfield and Kalamunda.

The new cycle path will travel along Roe Highway, and adds 1.8 kilometres to the existing commitment to contruct a 1.25 kilometre section of shared pathway.

"MOVE IT AUS" GRANTS ANNOUNCED

Federal Minister for Sport Senator Bridget McKenzie has announced an opening round of 50 successful applicants as part of the $28.9 million "Move It AUS" Participation Grant Program.

The grants provide physical activity and local government provider's resources to get Australians moving and to support the aspiration to make Australia the world's most active and healthy nation.

ATP CUP COMING TO RAC ARENA

The WA Government has announced a new tennis event - the ATP Cup - will be played at RAC Arena in Perth, joining Sydney and Brisbane as one of the three host cities for the tournament.

The Men's team event, involving 24 nations, will see Perth host at least two of the top six players in the world, and four of the top 12.
