TRIBUTE TO JOHN KOBELKE

The WA Sports Federation extends condolences to the family of John Kobelke, who passed away earlier this week.

John served with distinction as in governments led by Geoff Gallop and Alan Carpenter.  He was for a period the Minister for Sport and Recreation, among his other ministerial responsibilities.

The WA Sports Federation echoes the personal sentiments expressed by Premier Mark McGowan, that "He was a very fine man and a very decent human being.  Very committed to the state, very committed to his family and his electorate, he was an excellent minister.  He was one of those people everyone liked across the political divide".
