WAFC SEEKS COUNTRY FOOTBALL MANAGER

The  WA Football Commission is seeking a suitably experienced, motivated and dedicated professional to join its Executive Management Team as Executive Manager Country Football and Facilities. 

The role has responsibility for general administration, management and promotion of country football across WA, along with strategic oversight of the Community Facilities portfolio.  Applications close Friday 19 April 2019.

SPORT INTEGRITY TASKFORCE SEMINAR

The Australian & New Zealand Sports Law Association (ANZSLA) is holding a seminar addressing the recommendation from the Review of Australia's Sports Integrity Arrangements to establish a National Sports Tribunal.

This seminar is offered at no charge, however places are limited and registration is essential.

SPORT AUSTRALIA WELCOMES NEW BOARD MEMBER

Federal Minister for Sport, Senator Bridget McKenzie has welcomed the appointment of Hugh Delahunty to the Sport Australia Board.

Mr Delahunty, who has a background in politics, sport policy and professional and grassroots sport, commences a three-year term from 4 May 2019.

PRE-SEASON COMES TO PEEL REGION

The West Coast Fever continue their build-up to the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball Series, with the Fever to host the Melbourne Vixens at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre tomorrow (Sat 13 April), with a further pre-season match at the State Netball Centre on Sunday.

Fever's loyal regional supporters also have the chance to connect with the players, with a Community Clinic and Open Training Session ahead of the clash with the Vixens.

JUNIOR STATE CHAMPS READY TO GO IN ROCKINGHAM

WA's most talented junior rugby league players will take to the field in Rockingham for the 2019 NRL WA Junior State Championships.

The four-day tournament at Lark Hill in Rockingham opens at 9am tomorrow (Sat 13 April) and concludes on Tuesday.

AUSSIE JUNIOR BEACH VOLLEYBALL SERIES ACTION IN BUNBURY

Optus Volley by the Bay 2019 will serve up top class beach volleyball action from tomorrow (Sat 13 April) at Koombana Bay in Bunbury. 

Teams will vie for the Australian U23 Beach Volleyball Championship through this weekend, with the four-day Australian Junior Beach Volleyball Championships from Monday 15 April.

Western Australia's junior and open age athletes have completed a strong campaign at the 2019 Australian Athletics Championships in Sydney. 

The impressive performances have seen WA talent bring home plenty of medals and set new records.

PLATINUM TAEKWON-DO TEAM HEADS NORTH

The 19th Oceanic Taekwon-Do Invitational Championships landed in Geraldton on 23 March, where the 23-strong team from Platinum Taekwon-Do took home a haul of 46 medals - 16 gold, 19 silver and 11 bronze.

With the 2019 Taekwon-Do World Championships on the horizon and the WA State Championships in September, the trip to Geraldton was an ideal warm up for the big year ahead.
