SPORT GOVERNANCE ONLINE JAM

Sport Australia is seeking the feedback of volunteers in sport through a series of "online jam" sessions on a governance framework for sport in Australia, and there's just one left if you'd like to have your say!

The final session is tomorrow (Sat 3 August) at 12pm WA time, so you'll need to move quickly to register for this opportunity.

$20,000 OF SPORTS GRANTS IN ONE WEEK

Community TAB will celebrate the success of the two-year sports grants program with $20,000 set to be delivered to WA sporting clubs during the final week of the initiative from 23 to 29 September.

"The reach of the grants from Community TAB goes from Port Hedland in the far north to Ravensthorpe in the far south, and we are proud to have been able to give back so extensively to grassroots sports in WA through this program", said Racing & Wagering WA CEO Richard Burt.

Over 2,000 athletes and spectators are expected for the 2019 Pride Sports Festival in Perth when the event takes place at UWA Sports Park on 16 November.

"The McGowan Government is committed to using community sport to engage Western Australians and improve participation across the board", said Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray.
