Dear Students,

Happy Sunday!

This week Weekly Wednesday LiveQ&A was double fun for me. First, we had an amazing Q&A about Mobility Data and then it followed with a very stimulating followup Tweet thread. (here).

As you can see from the picture, I was quoting a hypothetical scenario of La Rambla in Barcelona to show how AVs will create huge volume of data by 2025. David Kerrigan from Ireland raised an excellent question about how much mobility data (including sidewalk bots, bikes) can we expect in 2021. As a person talking and teaching about AV data and data monetization this got me excited about AV readiness and how mobility data scales in volume across different geographies. If I were to research and bring you AV data sizing in different global cities in the future, what city/country would you like to see next?

KPMG has a Autonomous Vehicle Readiness Report. Here's a snapshot of what countries are ready based on their criteria of Technology Innovation, Consumer Acceptance, Regulation and Infrastructure.

What other criteria would you include to measure AV readiness?

I am not surprised at Netherlands being at the top of this list. Are you?

I started our Weekly Wednesday LiveQ&A to share educational material about AV Business, AV data, b-models and smart mobility. In the past 3 months, we have built out a focused discussion about mobility jobs in Product Management, Business Development, Design, and more. Check out archives of our weekly Wednesday sessions on Livestreamed Lessons on DriverlessWorldSchool.

Next Week is about AV Operations!
