Dear Students,

Happy Sunday!

Check last week's Livestream lessons (archive) for our fun discussion about Mobility Jobs. An interesting discussion came up about new AIxDesign. See below for my reference links related to this topic.

See the questions from Denmark, Brazil, Italy and US spanning variety of topic related to AI jobs. I have added the questions for you to read. Ping me if you have thoughts on this or work in this area.

This Wednesday's LiveQ&A Topic is "AI Product Management." How do you build a product and manage the data from training onto production keeping focus on customer needs when the product is a learning AI such as a self-driving car or any connected IoT product or an algorithm?

Join my weekly wed LiveQ&A (9am pt/18 hr cest/1pm Brazil): (updated YouTube link on driverlessworldschool.)

Enjoy these Articles and Lessons

1. Connected IoT diapers from Pampers. This is the same product that my student Kamalnath Deverakonda built in our BUS20 IoT Business class. I want to remind you of the advice I give in class. What you build today or whether you are busy to take your ideas forward does not matter. Getting into the field of IoT, Digital Mobility, AI in any industry or product that inspires you will help you get deeper to understand the business drivers for success, if not today, into a future iteration in your job, business or career.

One important question remains open for all connected products: Is the value from the sensor, connectivity (timely notification) or data? Think about this as you read this about the connected diaper. It applies to all IoT and autonomous vehicle businesses.  You will have to know your customer pain, where you are creating value to expose that value in the UX Design to engage the customer.

See my twitter thread discussion and article here.

2.  My (new) Axios article about Jobs from AI and resources for reskilling.

3. Uber is promising AV safety scenarios and behavioral guidelines at the Autonomous Vehicle Symposium in Orlando this week. Remember, Oliver Cameron, CEO of Voyage.auto who visited our Stanford class? Voyage has published the same on github here. Please build on this if you work on AVs. We need the industry to collaborate more to get us to the driverlessworld faster.

If you attended AVS19, ping me, I'd like to know about other interesting announcements.

4. Cognitive Conversations for the future of conversation talk I gave to UX leaders seeded my futuristic ideas which Charles Ikem, service design expert said was similar to AIxDesign concept evolving today. MIT Media Lab calls this computational design.

See you at our wed LiveQ&A to talk about AI Product Management. I have a surprise announcement about an opportunity for AV skills re-training.

If you miss the weekly sessions, check the archives at Livestreamed Lessons.
