It is the last days of December and another year has gone by, as quick as ever. For Pandrol it has been an interesting year, with a lot of projects with our customers and with new products being presented.
In January we established our Center of Engineering Excellence (CoEE) meaning that we are now a design centre for equipment within the Pandrol group. As a result of that we proudly presented our first CoEE product, the Alpha rail grinder, at the world exhibition Innotrans in Berlin.
In April we hosted our own demo day, Test & Drive, with the aim for our customers to actually get the opportunity to test and drive our various equipment. The event was a great success and we can proudly announce that we will arrange Test & Drive again in 2020.
In 2018 we also took on sales of Vortok and Matweld products for the Scandinavian market. By doing so, we aim to give a better support and offer a more complete range of railway tools for our Scandinavian customers.
In June we changed our name to Pandrol AB, which means that all railway companies within the Delachaux group are now united under the same name.
Looking forward, we are going to convert a great number of excavators into railway operation during next year. Some of them will be exhibited and demonstrated at the Nordic Rail exhibition in Sweden in October 2019. I am also convinced that you will see a number of them in various projects along the railway. Many of these machines will use one or more of our many attachments for sleeper change, sleeper laying and destressing operations. You will probably as well see our new unique road rail trailer, RRT in some of the projects.
I would like to thank all our customers, our distributors and our supplies for an invaluable cooperation during 2018. We are looking forward to see you all in 2019.
The Pandrol team in Sweden wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Volvo dealer Swecon prepares for 2019
The Swedish Volvo machine dealer Swecon has placed a big order for Rosenqvist rail equipment to be installed onto Volvo EWR150E machines.
The Volvo EWR150E is especially suitable for rail operation with its compact, yet powerful design.
A purpose-built counterweight for rail operation allows the machine to operate on double track lines without interfering with the adjacent line.
Kennards Hire Rail upgrade their existing machine fleet with two Rosenqvist CD400SP.
Another two CD400SP machines to Kennards
The Australian rental company Kennards Hire Rail has upgraded their existing machine fleet and bought another two clipping machines CD400SP. The machines will be delivered to the company depot in Rutherford, Hunter Valley NSW. Kennards, who already have two CD400SP machines in their rental fleet, quickly identified the need for another two units. The machines are equipped with tools for handling both Pandrol Fastclip and e-clip.
We design, develop and manufacture equipment to make constructing and maintaining railways more efficient. Our smart machinery increases productivity, reduces possession times and improves the safety of those working in the industry.
