August 20, 2019 TESOD

Amid near terminal humidity, approaching weather, drained wind, and a few lightning flashes in the direction of the Naval Academy TESOD was cancelled. The complement of sailors, less than normal numbers, nevertheless had a Better Luck Next Time Party. Thanks to the people ready to go on RC.

You can sign up to help TESOD Race Committee and know if we can use your help! We've added a Volunteer Module to the website so you can let us know you're coming. We need 4 people to run race committee on Tuesdays and we can't do it without you...
You'll also find volunteer sign up on every Tuesday's registration page on the website

Housing Needed for J24 East Coast Championship

We are looking for housing for the East Coast Championships October 4th - 6th.

If you have a spare bedroom, couch or don't mind close quarters please let us know. Crews are 5 or less and any number of berths would be appreciated to help house out of town crews for the regatta.

 Junior Program Updates:
Well, the summer program is over and we are moving on to fall sailing with our Optis, lasers, and high school sailors!  The summer program was very successful this year, from day 1 to the last day we had sailors asking when can they come back and even one sailor said they were going to quit all their other sports for sailing!  We want to thank the parents, coaches, and sailors for doing such a great job this summer.  Our Opti race teams put together an awesome video from the summer that is on YouTube and we had at least 1 sailor on the podium at every regatta we attended!  Our 420 race team had a down year but the group we are working with is very young and enthusiastic so we are looking forward to their future in the C420 class.  We also had a sailor from Spain through the Youth Exchange Program as a part of our C420 program, his attitude and desire to do well was infectious across everyone who met him.  The Laser program also had a successful summer sailing in the bay regattas as well as North Americans, Nationals, and now a few of them are at CORK in Canada.  We wish them luck and can’t wait to have them back next season!  If you want to be a part of the Junior Program next summer make sure you keep your eyes peeled for updates on when we will open registration and get your spot early so you don’t miss out on a great summer like 2019!
Upcoming Dates:

In addition to the containers of fuel stabilizers, impressive variety of brands and a bottle of head and tank conditioner that are left, we also have 1 stainless steel table / shelves, 5 grease guns, and there are still 5 more piling off cuts. Contact Cathy if you can use one!
