Come be a part of Race Committee on Tuesday nights!
It's a great opportunity to put your skills to the test or gain new ones and have a lot of fun while you are at it! This past weekend SSA's awesome race committee was supporting the Annapolis NOOD Regatta and their good work was featured and recognized on Sailing World's FB page: https://www.facebook.com/sailingworld/videos/698330057285512/
TESOD Tuesdays are a great chance to hone those skills!
Full Menu tonight for TESOD, May 7: 5:30pm-9pm! Join us for dinner, snacks or drinks even if you aren't sailing!
Cafe hours this weekend... Friday, May 10: 5pm-7pm

SSA and the Annapolis Laser Fleet are devastated at the loss of our friend and fellow sailor and SSA member, Adam Glass. To honor his passing, the SSA burgee will be flown at half staff on Tuesday, May 7, and we'll certainly share stories of many sailing and road trip adventures at that evening's TESOD. A service for Adam will be held at 10 a.m. this Thursday, April 9, at Adas Israel in Washington, D.C.
This weekend we are hosting the Laser Masters ACC
The opti trailer and a few Snipes adjacent to the laser racks will be relocated to provide space for visiting sailors. Boats will be moved to the aisle by the Lightnings, plus we will be storing trailers of visiting sailors as well, so please note there will be limited access to your boat this weekend.
There will be an informational meeting for the 27thAnnualAnnapolis Leukemia Cup Regatta on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the SSA Clubhouse. Anyone interested in learning more about the Regatta or about Team SSA is invited to attend. Team SSA is currently in third place for the Off the Water Race, and so we have gotten a great start in the fight to find a cure for blood cancers. For more information, or to sign up for any of the events please visit: https://www.leukemiacup.org/events/annapolis-leukemia-cup-regatta
Happy Tuesday everyone! It was a very busy weekend for the Junior Program, as we attended 4 different regattas, One team was down in Tall Timbers for a JV event, another 3 teams went up to Toms River NJ for a women’s event, another 3 teams went to Tred Avon Yacht Club for another women’s event and we had 2 SSA teams at the NOOD regatta! Almost every single sailor in the high school program had an opportunity to sail this weekend. This upcoming weekend is the Phebe King Memorial regatta which our Broadneck team has qualified for. This is the Silver Fleet Nationals event hosted by AYC with support from SSA. We are very excited to be a part of this event as it honors Phebe King, a local sailor, that passed away. If you would like to follow scores for the event you can at scores.hssailing.org. We look forward to a great event as well as an awesome Mother’s Day of sailing!
Blue Angels are back! Come on down for the best view in town and enjoy lunch as well. Botanas Fajardo will be open for drinks and lunch from 12:30-3 pm.
Botanas Fajardo: Great Food at SSA...
and at Home!
Did you know that not only can you enjoy terrific food from our new snack bar team, Botanas Fajardo, at the club, but they have a neat way to enjoy their food at your home for your non-sailing days? Their taco kits and dips can be a great way to have a quick dinner on a busy weeknight. They are in the process of setting up a storefront out off of Forest Drive, but in the meantime will offer this tasty option for pickup at SSA (of course, nonmembers must park on the street rather than in the SSA lot).
Place your order with Angel or Martin when you're at the club. Pop by the cafe and Angel can let you know what's available or send a message via FB Messenger.
