Brooklyn Microgrid is developing a community-powered microgrid here in Brooklyn. That means participants can engage in a sustainable energy network and choose their preferred energy sources, locally. These newsletters will be sent out on a monthly basis to keep you informed about BMG’s news, events, and participant highlights.

New Leadership in Brooklyn.

We're pleased to welcome the new Managing Director of Brooklyn Microgrid, Courtney Blodgett.

Courtney brings to BMG a wealth of renewable energy and microgrid experience gained through working for private companies, the United Nations, and governments in numerous countries around the world, including England and Rwanda.

She has diverse microgrid experience: she’s operated a portfolio of solar microgrids in Kenya, written government microgrid policies, and managed early-stage investing in microgrid start-ups.

Courtney is thrilled to join the BMG team, to become acquainted with participants, and to drive the energy revolution in Brooklyn. Her first priorities are to update planning and development strategies and to improve communication with the Brooklyn Microgrid community.

Brooklyn Microgrid Meetups are designed to educate the community on their energy options and to create an environment to learn, collaborate, and meet like-minded individuals.

Inquiries from the Field

BMG is changing the energy game which garners attention from people around the world. We collaborate with the media and researchers but, occasionally, people reach out directly to participants as they are curious to know more.

We have great respect for your privacy and will never give out your private information without your consent. If at any time someone solicits you, feel free to refer them to the BMG Outreach Team. We’ll be more than happy to talk with them on your behalf and/or properly schedule a time, at your convenience, for all of us to discuss.
