Bridget’s research is in primary health care with a focus on patient-centered care. Her AMS project explores how family physicians provided care to patients during COVID-19 and how they can provide compassionate virtual and in-person care.

Aaron is a leading researcher in the field of procedural sedation and analgesia. His AMS project enables compassionate care using tech and AI to set up real-time instruction systems to alert patients when to stop eating and drinking before a medical procedure.
Jennifer Fraser 2021 AMS History of Medicine Post-Doctoral Fellow
Jennifer is a historian of medicine and chronic disease epidemiology. Her work focuses on the history of women’s health. Her AMS project traces how epidemiological ideas about hyperemesis gravidarum have evolved in Canada from the 1980s to the present day.

We are launching a history of medicine blog series!
We invite the AMS Healthcare Community to submit articles (max 1000 words) about how the history of medicine research can and does act as a source of lessons that shape or inform Canadian healthcare today and tomorrow.
