Two recent events, at either end of the school, further demonstrated to me what a hugely supportive family network we have at Forest. Our Year 5 and 6 children enjoyed a tremendous night performing at the Manchester Arena as part of the Young Voices Concert. Their energy and enthusiasm throughout the evening was amazing to behold. What equally impressed me was the fantastic support from our parents in the audience, who attended in great numbers, and in some cases with the same high levels of performing ability during the audience participation sections!
The following week was one of my favourite events of the calendar, The Grandparents Afternoon, hosted in Pre
-Prep. The event, as ever, was extremely well attended and we greeted grandparents from far and wide who had made the journey especially to visit their grandchildren's school. There is a special bond between grandparents and their grandchildren and it is so warming to see this and the positive impact it has on the well-being of all involved.
So thank you again for all the support that you as parents and grandparents bring to your children and the school.
