I am very excited to be part of Glenhyrst's 2019 Winter Program of kids classes! Keep an eye on the Glenhyrst website to register soon!
Glenhyrst Art Gallery Programs
Come in from the cold winter and enter a world of colour! Learn about colour theory and explore drawing using a bunch of different materials and techniques. Students will gain a basic understanding of each material and tool used in the session to bring that knowledge home and continue their creative journeys. Students will also have to chance to learn from one another by completing a group project at the end of class.
Young artists will have to opportunity to explore a variety of mediums, materials, and artistic themes every Saturday morning! Students will be able to use their imagination to build and create tons of great art, ranging from traditional to exciting modern projects while learning appropriate visual art terminology and vocabulary. Great for kids who enjoy hands-on, beautifully messy creating!

HIGH REALISM FOR HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS
Highschool students are welcome to come to the Glenhyrst Cottage Sunday afternoons to expand their drawing skills and learn new techniques and tricks to creating highly realistic drawings. Their creativity will be encouraged and fuelled with different projects and drawing styles. Students are welcome to bring their own projects and drawings from school or home to work on and receive feedback. Students will also learn and practice positively critiquing fellow artist’s work as well as their own at the end of each class. Assistance with portfolio preparation for post secondary education will also be addressed.
