DanceMeditation is an innovative spiritual practice based in somatic movement and dance. It is a deep exploration of our inner landscape through learning receptive listening to our body and its wisdom. We develop a deeper connection with self, other, and higher power. As we turn towards awareness of breathing and motion, we drop out of the overactive and distracted mind into intuitive embodiment. 
     
Through a wide array of movement practices such as fluid yoga, somatic micro-movement explorations, partner/witness dance, writing from the body, and natural intuitive dance, where instead of moving, we sense we are being moved, we become integrated within. As all practices are set to a dynamic sonic landscape, we begin to move with freedom and creativity. We leave feeling inspired, alive, centered, healed, and with an inner feeling of freedom, peace, and deeper connection.

Please bring a yoga mat, a Mexican style/sized blanket, a pen, and a journal.

Anastasia M. Blaisdell has a Teaching Certification and Advanced Training in DanceMeditation with Founder, Dunya McPherson, a pioneer in embodied mysticism. She holds a Kripalu Yoga Teacher Certification and a Holistic Health Practitioner Diploma in Complementary Alternative Medicine. For over 25 years she has practiced many dance forms including Authentic Movement, Continuum, Body Mind Centering, and 5 Rhythms which all inform her teaching. She has extensive practice in Vipassana Meditation and has been deeply involved in South American indigenous, and Native American medicine ways, ceremonies, and teachings for over 25 years. She is inspired to share this most profound movement practice with you.
