Google is launching the AI Global Impact Challenge. The contest is an open call to organizations to submit ideas about how to use AI for social good. The organizations selected will be eligible for $25 million in grant funding, credit and consulting resources from Google Cloud, and other types of support. The challenge is a part of Google's AI for Social Good initiative.  

The Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and National Robotics Programme have just launched a Built Environment Robotics Research and Development programme, focusing on research, development, and deployment of innovative robotics in manufacturing, assembly, and smart and sustainable assets. Submissions close January 11, 2019. More information can be found

AlphaLab Gear Hardware Cup’s 5th pitch competition for early-stage hardware startups will highlight the most promising physical product startups in 7 cities, including Boston. Winners in each city will receive $3k cash and other prizes, as well as a chance to win a $50,000 convertible-debt investment from Startbot VC at the International Finals in May. Any startup with a physical product component can apply: manufactured products, IoT/connected devices, health/medical, consumer products, consumer electronics, food, fashion, robotics, etc.  The Northeast Application cycle closes on January 27th.  Apply here.

Tufts has highly trained CS students seeking internships and permanent jobs starting Summer 2019. Tufts CS students are trained by world-class faculty in areas such as Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, Robotics, HCI, Computational Biology etc. and have experience with many programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, etc.) If your company is hiring please send your posting directly to the Tufts Department of Computer Science at cs-careers@cs.tufts.edu

Brinc, a Hong Kong based early stage accelerator,  is accepting applications for their Spring ‘19 ‘IoT & Connected Hardware’, ‘Drones & Robotics’, and ‘Food Technology’ accelerator programs.  Over the past 4 years, they’ve invested in 59 teams across 32 countries.
