In celebration of our 5th anniversary, MassRobotics was honored to host Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh. Secretary Walsh joined Ira Moskowitz CEO, Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, Elisabeth Reynolds, Special Assistant to the President for Manufacturing and Economic Development at the National Economic Council, Julie Shah, Professor at MIT and author of What to Expect When Expecting Robots and our own Tom Ryden on a panel to discuss the impact of automation, and the robotics industry’s contribution to productivity, competitiveness and job creation.  That was followed by talks from two young women who went through our Jump Start STEM program about their experiences and desire to have careers using robots.

April 6: E-ROBOT PRIZE DEMO DAY happening 
The E-ROBOT Prize Demo Day on April 6, 2022.  At the live virtual event, eight finalist teams will vie for a piece of the $2 million prize pool as they debut their innovative building retrofit technologies. Register now for this interactive session, featuring keynote speakers and team meet-and-greets.
The startup competition for Automate on June 7 is now accepting applicants through the end of March. The event is sponsored by Cowen Inc.  They will be selecting 10 finalists. The criteria for entry are:
  • Operates in the automation space (robotics, vision, motion control, AI).
  • Has been founded in the last five years.
  • Has raised less than $5 million USD since creation.
  • Not be affiliated with or belonging to a larger enterprise or association.
