Next week, the Make It York Business Support Team will move to the City of York Council to join their Economic Development Team. The team will continue to be on hand for all of your business support needs and can be contacted on email. The Make It York business team will be moving to City of York Council’s Economic Growth team on 1st September 2021, in a move to strengthen the delivery of business support, economic development and inward investment activity across York. Read the team profiles to find out who can help you best with your business support needs, offer advice and answer questions. 
The government's Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme will come to an end on 30 September. Businesses are encouraged to submit their claims for September by the deadline of 14 October and any amendments must be made by 28 October.

Members of City of York Council’s Executive are asked to approve plans for a £100k package of support for York’s live music venues at a meeting today (26 August). Under the proposals, £100k of York’s final £1.4m instalment of the Additional restrictions Grant (ARG) from the government, would be used to support live music venues in the city. Find out more
York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub has launched special Skills Bootcamps to help employers build essential skills in their businesses. Skills Bootcamps offer free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks for adults aged 19 or over and give employees the opportunity to gain skills that will support their progression within their existing workplace. Find out more and sign up

The York & North Yorkshire Growth Hub have launched a new programme of free business support webinars starting in September and running until March 2022. New events will be added to the website regularly and will cover a variety of business topics including social media, strategy development, marketing, leadership and more. Find out more
