The City of York Council is seeking bids from organisations wishing to access funding from the £220m UK Community Renewal Fund. The fund will help support local areas to pilot innovative new approaches and programmes that unleash their potential. Project proposals should align with local and national priorities and be submitted before 16 May. PAPI, in partnership with Make It York are organising a free online Business Funding Roadshow event for B2B SMEs in the York area to find out what grant funding and business support is currently available. Do you find yourself feeling uncomfortable at your desk? Join Make It York's next Connect Over Coffee event on 19 May over Zoom. This session will be all about the networking and will focus on making connections for your business. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in a lot more Zoom breakout rooms than usual.

Yorkshire business leaders and policymakers will come together at sustainability conference In the Circle Yorkshire on 19 May with free tickets now available for all to join the virtual event. With over 30 speakers, the talks will cover key themes of the regional impact of COP26, Yorkshire's climate emergency, sustainable transport solutions and green finance. Find out more

The UK’s biggest outdoor Ice Trail will be returning for two days on 5 and 6 February 2022 with a range of magnificent ice sculptures set to transform York’s city centre. Organised by Make It York, the free trail will offer a family-friendly experience for residents and visitors to enjoy - with businesses across the city getting involved to sponsor and select the sculptures. University of York invites all to participate in the Great York Walk this in aid of Mentally Fit York - starting from 10 May 2021. Interested people can sign up for free to take on a virtual 12-week step challenge to raise funds for desperately needed mental health research and initiatives to transform mental health for everyone.

Bedern Hall, the historic venue in the centre of York opens to the public on 19 May with a new heritage interpretation programme. Visitors will see how the hall was restored, what it was like when it was the Refectory for the Vicars Choral of York Minster and will learn about their lifestyle, how they built the Hall and discover some of the things they left behind.
