'Violets [714]'
© Robin Edmundson, watercolor, 5 x 7  inches.
Framed to 8 x 10 inches.  $125

Hello lovely friends!
Are you doing OK?  Have you given yourself a little grace as everyone pivots and adjusts to the almost daily changes that are happening?  That beautiful little bunch of violets up there is for you - so that you remember that someone way out here is thinking of you and wishing you well and happy.

The big news here, of course, is that pretty much everything is cancelled - including my solo show for April.  I'm sorry I won't be able to hang out with you for an evening to talk about what you've been up to and show you what I've been up to as we enjoy the mild weather and snack on some goodies.

To replace that show, I have prepared a little gallery show over on my website.  I have gathered together the paintings of the views that I see on my daily walk during the year to show you. These are things that are 'Close To Home'.

Close to home is a good place to be right now. There are so many little miracles out there when you look for them.  The violets and trout lilies are blooming.  The bluebells are just coming on.  We've mulched the gardens and the hosta and lilies of the valley are popping up through it.  The yellow warblers and turkeys are making all kinds of noise in the woods.  The owls and red-headed woodpeckers are vying for territory - and telling us all about it.

I have moved the big bay tree and the rosemary bush out of the studio into the sunlight for the summer.  This gave me a little extra room to breathe and that is helping me expand a little as I deal with all the adjustments facing us these days.
Sending a little extra breathing room your way!

On the blog...

Over the years I've posted a lot about what it takes for me to live my best life now.  If you've been thinking about the same things, head on over and see if there's anything that resonates with you.
