Claire Wasserman is the founder of Ladies Get Paid, a new kind of community to help ladies get paid.

Name: Claire Wasserman     ::     Occupation: Founder of Ladies Get Paid      ::      Age: 30     ::     City: Brooklyn and Portland (Maine!)

End of the day unwind: Watching Vice news and reading the New York Times- basically anything I can get my hands on that's about Trump. It's like watching an epic train wreck, I just can't look away. And I wonder why I have trouble falling asleep.

First gig: When I was six, I was in the Metropolitan Opera Children's Choir (as was actress Emmy Rossum but I don't remember her.)

Best work environment: For me, the best environment is a bifurcated one. The first part of the day, I'm in concentration mode: responding to emails, getting writing done, zero distraction. The afternoon is when I have meetings and phone calls and I like to be surrounded by lots of stimulation.

Most important failure: I had a startup a few years back which ultimately failed because my lack of confidence in making decisions. Moving too fast can hurt you but not moving at all will doom you.

Why you love your city: I'm very lucky and get to live in two cities! I'm obsessed with my tiny studio apartment in Greenpoint - it's all windows and the coziest place next to awesome cafes, restaurants and boutiques. I'm also weirdly obsessed with riding the subway: I'm fascinated by looking at people and imagining their stories. I also spend part of the month in Portland, Maine where I live in the Old Port. We're on a cobblestone street by the water and it's the loveliest, dreamist little city.

What's next: We now have 20 ambassador cities with committees of women who will be organizing town halls and other LGP throughout the year. My deal with them is that I fly out and moderate the first one. Professionally, I'm psyched to see this business and community grow and personally, I cannot WAIT to visit the rest of the country.

Ladies we should know: Mara Binudin of Secret Code and Alessandra Biaggi, formerly of Hillary's campaign.
