"Our job is a continuous learning process"
Our job is a continuous learning process.
Having a competent workforce is essential to providing high-quality performance and services to our customers.
It is a shared responsibility between employer and employees of Dewina Group of companies to ensure its workforce has the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out their role effectively.
How can we achieve effective continuous learning and personal development that can lead to a knowledgeable and skilled workforce?
Firstly, we must upgrade our skills, regardless of what our tasks and responsibilities are.
Secondly, we must have pride in what we do.
To have pride here does not mean negative connotation – it simply means your passion or love for your job that lead to the success in your work performance.
Being able to love what you do is a blessing – in fact, people who love their jobs are happier, more satisfied and achieve a much healthier work-life balance through increased productivity.
With effective ongoing learning process and personal development, this can help build a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. And only you can do it!
Rest assured the management will always give solid support to all of you in terms of training and career exposure.
Besides this, we must not forget as Muslims, our job is also part of 'Ibadah' in Islam. Therefore, every morning before we perform our tasks, place our intention that we are performing our job not only to benefit and prosper in this world but also in the hereafter.
Execute the job in good faith and sincerity, and do not forget to pray the best for yourself, family and company.
In March, we will continue our cooking demo activities at twelve locations. Six hypermarkets in the Klang Valley, 2 in Johor Bahru, 2 in Penang, 1 in Seremban and 1 in Malacca.

DEWINA FOOD INDUSTRIES
Factory Visit Nishiki Food Co. Ltd., Sendai, Japan
By: DFI’s Newsletter Team
Aside from the main purpose of the visit, the 2 days tour through the factory was fun and interactive as it may not be the last visit there, but it will certainly be a memorable one. In competing with top halal food producers such as regional neighbors like Malaysia and Thailand, there is still a long way to go for Japan. But then, it is a good start for Japan as the saying goes:
SUCCESS DOES NOT LIE IN "RESULTS"
BUT IN "EFFORTS".
"BEING THE BEST IS NOT SO IMPORTANT"
"DOING THE BEST IS ALL THAT MATTERS"
Sendai, Japan - The concept of halal in Japan has gained a lot of polemical issues recently. A countless number of Japanese companies have been participating in the development of the growing halal industry locally or globally in one way or the other.
Unlike other non-Muslim majority countries such as Australia, Brazil, and the United States, which have large halal sectors due to their export of meat to OIC (Organization of Islamic Countries) countries, Japan has yet to make its mark in the halal food markets.
But this is all changing with increasing numbers of Muslim tourists. In preparation for the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games, Japan government correspondingly aims to invest heavily in the halal sector.
In compliance with the Japan government’s initiative in expanding Halal industry, a Japanese-based food manufacturing company, Nishiki Food Co. Ltd. expressed their interest in forming the collaboration with Dewina Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. for an OEM project under their brand label.
Due to certain limitations, such as insufficient knowledge in Halal food concept, they opted to choose Dewina Food Industries Sdn. Bhd. to produce their products based on DFI’s high reputation in supplying Halal products.
Nishiki Food Co Ltd is a food manufacturer specializing in retort food products ranging from curry, soup to pasta sauces.
To ensure the manufacturing of Halal products for Nishiki is in accordance with their required standards, a visit to the Nishiki factory plant was held from 18th to19th January 2017 in order to establish in-depth exposure from the technical aspect in the production of goods.
The 2 days visit to the factory was fun and interactive as it may not be the last visit there, but it will certainly be a memorable one. In competing with top halal food producers such as regional neighbors like Malaysia and Thailand, there is still a long way to go for Japan.
Leading the group was Encik Ahmad Fahimi (Group Executive Director) together with other Managers from different divisions including Ruzita (R&D Manager), Wan Noor Azlina (QA Manager), Ainul Ramadzan (Production Manager) and Mohd Zefri (Assistant Operation Manager).
The main purpose and objective of the visit were to encourage knowledge sharing between the two different regional neighbors on product development, quality control, quality assurance, product process and equipment requirements. Hence, ease the implementation process of standards that meets benchmark that has been established by Nishiki Food.
