Cardio vs. Strength Training
The question that never seems to have a clear answer: which workout is ideal for burning calories, revving your metabolism & sculpting your body? This article from Women's Health Magazine helps to explain the science & benefits of the two most common styles of training. Long story short: anaerobic exercises (think weight lifting or HIIT) burn more calories in a shorter period of time, while aerobic (think walking or running) triggers fat burning & strengthens the cardiovascular system. So what does that mean for you? Both are necessary for maximum body transformation, which is why both are included in each class at HSM.
