Parent Meeting Announcement!

Greetings Faith Academy Parents!

We invite you to a meeting on Monday, January 23, at 6:00pm in the Student Center to discuss the potential schedule change for next school year. From the feedback we have received through survey responses and conversations, we have identified three common issues that have been raised that we would like to address. Please make every attempt to attend on the 23rd and join the conversation. We really want to hear from you!

Announcements & Information:
  • Parent Meeting on Potential Schedule Change for Next Year:  Join Mr. Rispoli, staff and parents for a review of information and a discussion on the potential schedule change for next school year  Monday, January 23rd at 6PM in the Student Center.   • Costa Rica Mission Trip 2017: The Costa Rica Mission Trip team meeting will be held on Monday, January 23rd at 7PM in the Student Center. This trip is open to all high school students including incoming freshmen and outgoing seniors. Anyone is welcome to apply but only a certain number of spots will be available.   • Red Hot Rally: STUDENTS & FANS! Come learn crowd yells and chants to use during our upcoming district Faith Academy basketball games! Meet us in the Fire Pit on Monday, January 23rd at 9:00PM!
  • Spring Schedule Add/Drops: If there are schedule changes needed to be made for the Spring semester, students have until Monday, January 23rd to add/drop classes. For more information or to add/drop classes, contact Lauren Fields at
  • Campus Closure Due to Water Outage: Campus will be closed on Tuesday, January 24th, due to a water outage. Please do not come to campus during the day. There will be no tutoring, make up testing, athletic practices, or classes held. Parents of elementary students need to check their email for Tuesday assignments and instructions. The gym will open for late afternoon basketball games.
  • Individual Gala Tickets Now Available: With sponsorship tables sold out, there are a limited number of individual Gala tickets available for $100 each. The Gala will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 6:00PM at the Horseshoe Bay Resort Hotel. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Amy Burcham in the school office or
  • Gala Raffle Tickets Available: Support Faith Academy with a $100 donation for 3 chances to win one of these awesome prizes! The winners will be drawn at the Gala on Saturday, January 28th and winners need not be present. Tickets may be purchased in the school office.
  • Box Tops "Return-to-School" Campaign: It's that time again - time to start collecting Box Tops for Education and earn cash for our classrooms. Please turn in your Box Top certificates by Friday, February 24th. For more information, contact Susan Hoover at, your student's homeroom teacher, or the school office.
  • Class & New Student Individual Photos: Class and new student photos will be taken on Wednesday, February 15th. More information to come!
  • Calling All Students To Be In The Lion King, Jr.: Faith Academy secondary participants will receive 1/2 credit towards elective requirement. For information and details on participating, visit Facebook or email Mr. Bend at
  • Get Involved in Partners Through Faith (PTF): The mission of the PTF is to serve students, staff, and parents by promoting fellowship and volunteerism while glorifying our Lord.  PTF strives to build strong relationships and serve the Faith community, supporting each other to “Know, Grow and Go” the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Elementary & Junior High News

Spelling Bee: Faith Academy hosted the ACSI District Spelling Bee on Thursday, January 19th. The competitors included approximately 65 students (from 3rd - 8th grades) representing the 7 schools in the district. Faith Academy had 10 students participating, and 4 of those students placed in the competition. Faith Academy winners include:

Sierra Jones (3rd Grade) – 1st Place
Ella Cozby (5th Grade) – 4th Place
Cayden Williams (6th Grade) – 4th Place
Grayson Poage (8th Grade) – 3rd Place
Ella Cozby, Cayden Williams, and Grayson Poage all advanced to the 5th-8th grade District Spell-Off. Ella Cozby placed 3rd and will be representing Faith Academy at the Area Spelling Bee in Dallas during spring break. Grayson Poage placed 6th and is an alternate for the Area competition.
Faith Academy would like to congratulate all of the winners and to wish Ella Cozby the best of luck at the Area Spelling Bee!

Academic Showcase: The Academic Showcase for primary students will be held on Thursday, February 23rd in the Student Center. Secondary students' will showcase on Monday, February 27th in the Student Center. Registration information and forms for the 2017-2018 school year will also be available. More details to come!

High School News

Academic Showcase: The Academic Showcase for secondary students will be held on Monday, February 27th in the Student Center. Registration information and forms for the 2017-2018 school year will also be available. More details to come!

ACT Test: The ACT test will be administered for Juniors and Seniors on Tuesday, February 28th. More details to come!

Shopping for Prom Attire Reminder: With Prom just around the corner on Saturday, April 8th, this is a reminder that prom dresses and attire must represent the conservative intent of our Faith Academy dress code. This means no plunging necklines or extra-short dress lengths will be permitted.
