A Note From Coach Mark

First, I really want to thank our cheer families for a successful 9th season! The teams really pulled together and the coaches and I were so proud of their performances at EVERY COMPETITION!! The competition in Geneva was a personal favorite because of many reasons including, Coach Robin was able to be with us AND because we had all five cheer teams perform on the same day! Both of our allstar teams earned a paid bid to The ONE Finals there - Infinity definitely made its presence known! Driving home from Geneva it seemed impossible to top the feeling of pride for our program. So imagine our elation when BOTH of our allstar teams became The ONE Finals Champions in Chicago in late April. (We are showing off our championship rings in the photo above.)

Season 9 is almost complete. All are invited and welcome to attend our Summit Sendoff on Wednesday, May 9 (at Infinity at 6:30pm) as we wish Icon, our Senior Level 3 allstar team, good luck days before they leave for the D2 Summit at Walt Disney World's Wide World of Sports. Icon is currently amidst a rigorous practice schedule preparing for their performance at this elite invitation-only competition.

I am so proud of the growth and strength each of our competitive cheer athletes have achieved this season. THANK YOU to all of the parents and grandparents for your commitment and support. We appreciate you coming back for our special anniversary Season 10 and can't wait to do it all over again.

Coach Mark

A Quick Tip from Wellness Babe...
Mental/emotional wellness is just as important (if not more!) as your physical well being. Coping with adversity and reducing stress play a major roll in managing emotional wellness.

Meditation, yoga, and deep breathing are a few great ways to keep mental and emotional wellness in check.

The Needle.
A needle is a position performed by flyers during stunts. The flyer kicks up and holds an extended, straightened leg behind their body, all the while standing upright on the other leg. The most common way to get into the posture is with a swift kick backwards. It takes time to gain the flexibility, balance, and strength to perform this posture. Balance is key, because a flyer performs a needle while balanced on their supporting leg, held in the hands of the base(s) over head.
MEET THE SENIOR
Emma VanDenBossche
Emma is currently finishing her senior year at Avon Lake High School and is competing/Florida-bound this month with Infinity's Senior Level 3 Team, Icon! Prior to Infinity she was at another allstar gym for three years, so Coach Mark has been her coach for 11 years! In addition to allstar, Emma was a school cheerleader from 5th to 11th Grade. She plans to attend The Ohio State University in the fall with a major in Political Science.
