The Infinity Insider
July 2018

The Infinity Insider is a monthly newsletter to all members of the Infinity family. We hope it allows you to get to know us better and to assist with staying up-to-date with all of the excitement.

A Note From Coach Mark

As a reminder, Infinity will be closed for all classes from Friday, June 29 through Sunday, July 8. Classes will resume on Monday, July 9. We hope you are all able to take this time to relax and enjoy family, friends, and the summer weather!

If your athlete is a member of of our cheer program, please note that practice times will change when we come back from the break. (Please refer to the details provided in the email sent on June 14.) Athletes will be practicing within their own teams.

If your athlete is a member of Unity, Envy, or Icon, please allow me to take a minute to remind you that there is a mandatory choreography camp will take place July 18-21. For those of you new to our allstar program, this is an intense, extremely challenging yet rewarding experience for us. This is when each team will learn the core of their 2018-2019 routine. Our choreographer, Brandon Hale, is world-renown, and as such, we have limited time with him to pack everything in we need to accomplish. Parents, please help us keep your athlete well rested, properly fed, and most of all, assist with their mental health. Brandon's style is a little more abrupt than ours but it's only because he has so much to do in such a little time. He loves us and our athletes and shares in our ups and downs with us remotely all season long!! We are so lucky to have him as an extension of our family.

We hope everyone has a happy and safe Fourth of July!!

A Nutrition Tip from Wellness Babe...
Summer is here! Check out these 3 summertime wellness tips.

The most important key to having a fun and safe summer is to stay hydrated, especially when you're coming to the gym for tumbling or cheer practice. Start early in the morning with a big glass of water. This will awaken your body and its systems, and help to eliminate toxins. Continue to hydrate throughout the day by keeping a reusable water bottle with you. Waiting to drink water right before or during your practice could lead to fatigue and dehydration.

Summer time is the season for the outdoors! So don't be afraid to (literally) play in the dirt, as it has many soil based organisms which help to build the immune system and improve gut health. Planting a garden is a great way to get kids (and adults) in the dirt, and the end result of fresh fruits and veggies is an added benefit!

Camping, swimming, fishing, barbeques and fireworks are just some of the activities that scream summer time. It's all about having fun! Soak it all up because laughter and smiling have been proven to lower stress and increase energy.

Don't forget to hydrate as much as possible during the steamy summer months but remember, only clear beverages are permitted in the gym.
