The Academic and Research Libraries (ARL) Section of IFLA focuses on cooperation, exchange of information, and promotion and support of the role of libraries as core institutions for research and education worldwide.

Travel grants applications for IFLA 2022 WLIC now open

IFLA ARL Section, with generous sponsorship by Ex Libris and SAGE, is offering attendance grants for the 2023 World Library and Information Congress in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Two awardees will be selected from each of these regions:

  • Africa
  • Latin America
  • Asia/Pacific region

Each grant covers the early registration fee and support for travel and/or accommodation.

ARL’s latest global webinar organized last November addressed “The call to action: academic libraries’ responses to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”.
